The absorbance of the mixture is measured by colorimetric method, and the concentration of ammonia nitrogen is determined based on the standard curve. The commonly used photometric method is denitrification photometry, which converts ammonia nitrogen in water samples into nitrite, and then reacts with sodium phthalate reagent to generate a purple red compound. The absorbance of the compound is measured by a photometer, and the concentration of ammonia nitrogen is determined based on the standard curve.
