Membrane bioreactor (MBR) is a new process that combines ultrafiltration membrane with activated sludge biochemical treatment technology. The membrane bioreactor combined with membrane separation and activated sludge method is used to treat carbonaceous organic matter, which can deeply oxidize the organic matter and completely retain the organisms, allowing the sludge to be retained for a considerable period of time, thereby completely retaining the slowly growing nitrifying bacteria in the system. It can successfully remove nitrogen through nitrification and denitrification at the same time and maintain high treatment capacity at low temperatures.
